The Newcastle International Film Festival is hosting a series of free film & TV workshops with some of Australia's leading screen practitioners on Saturday, 7 and Sunday, 8 October at the University of Newcastle Callaghan campus.

All workshops are free, open to all and all are welcome - whether you are a professional filmmaker, student or simply interested in knowing how films and TV shows are made.

The workshops are presented in association with the Australian Writers' Guild, Screen Producers Australia, Australian Screen Editors, Australian Screen Sound Guild, Media Entertainment Arts Alliance, Australian Society of Cinematographers and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers.

We thank the University of Newcastle for their support for the workshops.
